What are the best things about attending Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry?

Meharry Medical College was established in 1876 and is one of only two Historically Black College and University (HBCU) dental schools. It is located in the fast-growing city of Nashville, Tennessee. The best thing by far about attending Meharry Medical College is definitely the rich history. The institution was founded by a single man with a desire to give back to the African American community. True to its heritage, Meharry places special emphasis on providing opportunities for people of color, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and others regardless of race or ethnicity. I believe that this mission is very evident to students. Faculty and staff are very willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you succeed. They will point you towards the right opportunities for shadowing, tutoring, or mentorship.
