"One of the great things that came with this curriculum change is that all the didactic lectures are now integrated across all biomedical science courses by using a systems-based approach."
"The long- term goal for this new curriculum is that by the end of D1 year we are at the level of a registered dental assistant and by the end of second year we are at the level of a registered dental hygienist."
"Since LLUSD is a private Christian university, there is mandatory one hour chapel time."

What are the best things about attending Loma Linda University School of Dentistry?

LLUSD is a quarter-system school. That means that we finish the classes in ten weeks and then don’t have to study during our breaks. The yearly schedule is as follows:

10 Week Summer Quarter, 1-Week Fall Break

10 Week Fall Quarter, 3-Week Winter Break

10 Week Winter Quarter, 1-Week Spring Break

10 Week Spring Quarter, 3-Week Summer Break

The exception is the summer quarter for D1 year. The term starts at the end of August. It is only four weeks because that quarter only consists of one class.

LLUSD recently had a curriculum change due to the new integrated board exam. With the classes experiencing this change being the “guinea pig” class, there have been some pros and cons.
