"For example, in the hepatic block we learn the anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and microbiology of the liver all at the same time. It keeps things consistent and lessens the effort required to connect the dots on your own which is helpful."
"The ratio of faculty to students in both preclinical labs and clinic are not perfect leading to long lines to get checks and feedback during daily activities and appointments."
"Sometimes it feels as though we are given a mass of information with little or no emphasis on what we are expected to learn or know from that mass."

What are the best things about attending UAB School of Dentistry?

There are a few major criteria to consider when selecting which dental program to attend. Some of those criteria include the location, the learning environment, the faculty, and the education/training received for the price you pay. As for location, UAB is located in Birmingham, AL in the northern part of the state. Overall, it is a decently sized city in close proximity to other cities (including Nashville and Atlanta) as well as the beaches in Alabama and Florida. There are mountains for hiking, lakes within a reasonable distance, breweries, and lots of cool restaurants to try.
