What are the best things about attending University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry?
The best thing about UTHSC College of Dentistry is the people. If you’re looking for a group of friends who will become your family faster than you can say barbeque, then this is your place. It’s hard not to become close friends when you eat, sleep, breathe, and study together, but it helps to know that you’re coming to a place with southern hospitality where your classmates are always going to have your back. Students prioritize helping each other by sharing notes, studying together, sharing tips for lab and clinic, and helping each other succeed. The four years you spend in dental school will be stressful and demanding regardless of what school you attend. If this is the school you choose, you will have classmates who value camaraderie.

What are the worst things about attending University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry??
A lot of people will bring location into consideration when they are deciding where to attend dental school. I would say Memphis, Tennessee is definitely a difficult place to love at first. However, it does get better. The food is amazing, and you can ask dental students and faculty where the best places are. The river is close and easy to access if you want to go for a walk on the island or kayak in the river.
